The company director caused four hours of delays

A drunk company director was in court today after passing out on a railway track in the afternoon rush hour.

Kevin Craswell, 48, consumed a "lethal" amount of vodka and was seen by passengers at 3.30pm crawling along the railway at Epsom.

Astonishing pictures show him asleep and using the rail as a pillow. Witnesses even said they could hear him snoring from the platform.

Police said he was extraordinarily lucky to have survived. Oncoming trains had to be diverted at the last minute.

Staff took almost half an hour to wake Craswell and it caused Network Rail almost four hours of subsequent delays, costing £7,296.

Craswell, a company director from Ashstead who had "fallen on hard times", was taken to hospital where he later received an on-the-spot fine for being drunk and disorderly.

He has pleaded guilty to a charge of "obstructing the railway by neglect" at Redhill magistrates.

Graham Guerin, defending Craswell, had told an earlier hearing: "This is a professional man who fell on hard times five years ago and developed a drink problem. He had drunk a substantial amount of vodka and has no recollection of this incident. But he acknowledges the danger he presented not only to himself but to others.

"Since this happened he has taken steps to help himself and also arranged to see a counsellor."

Magistrate Ron Fewtrell said although he was aware of the potential risk to rail users, he did not believe Craswell intended to harm people.

He ordered the defendant to undertake a community service, a community order and to pay compensation to the rail company

ثانيا الفاحشة فى الغرب ليست حرام او عيب او غير قانونية، بالعكس فهى صح و حلال و تبداء من سن البلوغ حتى الوفاة، و من يبداء فيها لا رجعة له.

اولا الفاحشة حرام و عيب و غير قانونية

ثانيا تمارس فى الخفاء غالبا مما يحد من انتشارها بين ضعاف النفس أن بليتم فاستتروا

ثالثا من يمارس الفاحشة دائما له خط رجعة و يساعده من حوله من الاسوياء فى المجتمع الاسلامى للاقلاع عن الفاحشة، اما من فى الغرب سوف يشجعه املجتمع الغربى للاستمرار فيها لكى يكزن مثلهم

ارجو ان اكون قد اوضحت الفرق للجميع

و بعدين هما عاوزيين اللى يقعد فى بلدهم يتأقلم و يكتسب عادتهم و تقاليدهم، و هذا النوع من الضغط بيكون اكثر على الجيل الثانى من الجيل الاول، و بيستجيب الجيل الثانى بدرجات متفاوتة لانقطاع صلته ببلده الاصلى و بالذات بعد وفاة الاب و الام

ARMY Chiefs have decided to pull Prince Harry out of Afghanistan, The Sun can reveal.

The Ministry of Defence confirmed that the 23-year-old officer's war had come to an end in a statement late this morning.

Harry is still out on operations in the Helmand desert with his troop of Household Cavalry - where he is considered safe for the time being.

But top brass have accepted Taliban fighters will now be doing their all to find him.

And Harry has agreed that he will leave the war torn country within the next 72-hours for a flight home to the UK.

But the precise extraction plan will be kept a closely guarded secret to protect his safety.

The news comes after Taliban fanatics were feared to be hunting down Harry after he secretly fought in the Afghan badlands for ten weeks.

The young lieutenant killed up to 30 of the enemy on his frontline tour by directing at least THREE air strikes.

And he traded fire with insurgents who attacked his outpost base — manning a heavy machine gun.

The prince was flown to the war-torn town of Garmsir by the SAS on December 14.

It is one of the riskiest parts of Afghanistan’s opium-swamped Helmand province on the edge of British controlled-territory.

Harry, whose planned deployment to Iraq was scrapped last year, is the first senior royal to fight on a battlefield since Queen Victoria’s grandson Prince Maurice in World War One.

His extraordinary tour of duty was known about by all British media — including The Sun — but kept secret under an unprecedented voluntary arrangement.

Yet notorious US news website the Drudge Report yesterday revealed damaging details, sending top brass into a spin.

Generals met late into last night to decide whether to rush Harry home five weeks ahead of schedule.

He had already left Garmsir for another desert area, known to The Sun.

Some officers claimed this would protect him. But others insisted his war was now over.

One senior military source said: “We’re going to have to bring him home immediately.

“We have to expect that every fanatical fighter in 1,000 miles of him will be pulling out all the stops to find him.”

Even once home, Harry could remain a target for Taliban sympathisers.

He admitted: “Every single person that supports them will be trying to slot me.”

Showing enormous courage, the prince came under enemy rocket, mortar and machine gun fire almost every day on the Nato security mission.

He was given NO special privileges and faced the same high risks as the troops around him.

And he got up close to the enemy — bringing down bombs on Taliban attackers in his role as a Forward Air Controller.

Last night the head of the Army heaped praise on the royal.

Gen Sir Richard Dannatt, Chief of the General Staff, said: “His conduct has been exemplary. He is a credit to the nation.”

PM Gordon Brown said: “The whole of Britain will be proud of the outstanding service he is giving.”

Conservative leader David Cameron said: “Harry has been incredibly brave.”

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dr. Imran Yousaf on 19th of January 2007.who was a co-applicant in the judicial review that BAPIO filed against the Department of Health and Home Office.

Imran hailed from Pakistan. He came to UK about two years ago. He passed the PLAB examinations and sustained himself here in very difficult conditions. The new visa regulations introduced in April 2006 made it nearly impossible for him to obtain a training post and he remained unemployed. He felt his career was destroyed. While awaiting the judgement of the court case just before his demise he had received a letter from the home office refusing him further leave to remain.

He decided to take his own life.

“We are shocked and baffled. Imran was one of most sincere, decent and honest person I have known. He felt terrible about new regulation and was keen to join in the legal challenge along with BAPIO. It is a terrible loss for the IMGs and great tragedy for the family” said Dr Ramesh Mehta BAPIO President.

“This to me is only the tip of the iceberg of distress and damage that these new regulations have done to the vast number of international medical graduates in this country. Imran was a man of principle who stood against injustice.” Said Dr Satheesh Mathew Vice-Chair BAPIO.

We pray that Imran's soul rest in peace. Our thoughts and prayers are with Imran's family during this difficult time.

Britain has been ranked bottom out of 21 countries in a United Nations assessment of children's well-being.

The nation's high number of single parents and step-families has contributed to the ranking.

The scathing report by the UN children's fund, Unicef, says youngsters are better off overall in every other industrialised country, including less wealthy nations such as Poland and the Czech Republic.

It says there is statistical evidence to link growing up in single-parent families and step-families with a greater risk of dropping out of school, leaving home early, poorer health, low skills, and low pay.

Of 7.3 million families with parents of working age in Britain, a quarter are lone parents. The nation has far more single-parent families than any other EU nation.

It is predicted that by 2010 there will be more children living in a step-family than in their biological family.

According to today's report, the UK lags in other areas too such as the number of children living in relative poverty, vaccination rates, and the time spent talking, or eating with a parent or parents.

It also has high rates of obesity, drunkenness, bullying, early sexual intercourse, cannabis-taking and teenage pregnancy.

Britain was rated higher for education, but languished in the bottom third for each of the other measures, giving it an overall placing at the bottom, along with the US.

The report was published by the fund's Florence-based Innocenti Research Centre before a national inquiry into the state of childhood, chaired by the Government's unofficial "happiness" tsar Lord Layard.

Drawing on 40 separate indicators, it attempts to measure and compare child well-being in six areas: material well-being, health and safety, education, peer and family relationships, behaviours and risks, and young people's own subjective sense of well-being. Bob Reitemeier, the chief executive of The Children's Society, a charity, said today: "We cannot ignore these shocking findings. Unicef's report is a wake-up call to the fact that, despite being a rich country, the UK is failing children and young people in a number of crucial ways."

Anastasia de Waal, the head of family and education at the think-tank Civitas, said: "That we rank so poorly as a rich welfare state is an indictment of Government policy. Underlying our poor record are serious social problems that New Labour isn't addressing."

Prof Sir Albert Aynsley-Green, the Children's Commissioner for England, said: "The findings are disheartening but not surprising as they echo what children tell me on a daily basis."

The shadow chancellor, George Osborne, said: "This report tells the truth about Gordon's Brown's Britain."

But the report is bound to be controversial because of some of the ways "well-being" is measured.

For example, the UK rates poorly on relative poverty because some incomes in Britain fall far below the incomes of others in the UK.

Likewise, well-being is measured in terms of how many children live with both parents.

Lone parent organisations argue that there is no evidence that all children with one parent are bound to turn out worse off in adult life than children of traditional family units.

Children's sense of well-being — whether they were positive or negative about life — was higher in the Netherlands, Spain and Greece and lower in Poland and Britain. Girls reported lower levels of health than boys. This difference gradually increases with age.

Gay foster parents abused young boys

A council was condemned yesterday for failing to prevent a paedophile homosexual couple from abusing young boys even after being alerted by one of the victim's parents.

Foster parents Ian Wathey, 40, and Craig Faunch, 32, face long terms in jail after being convicted of molesting and filming eight-year-old twins and two boys aged 14.

The twins were video-taped as they showered together, while one of the older boys was sexually abused by Wathey in his bedroom.

Both men "hurt" him, he told Leeds Crown Court. "I do not like them any more. I want them to go to prison."

Yesterday it emerged that Wakefield council had been warned of possible abuse by the twins' mother, Mrs X.

She had found bathroom photographs of her sons but an inquiry by social workers cleared the paedophiles of wrongdoing and said they had simply been "naive and silly". Police were not called in. Wathey and Faunch had moved on to abusing the two 14-year-olds by the time police arrested them in Pontefract, West Yorks.

The two men began abusing boys within a month of Wakefield social services approving them as foster carers in July 2003.

Outside the court, Mrs X said: "I thought the council would have contacted the police as part of the investigation. . . Maybe if something had been done sooner we would not be here today."

Kitty Ferris, for the council, said applications by the men to become foster carers had been approved "in accordance with statutory requirements and council policy".

She added: "Although correct procedures were carried out at every stage the service has reviewed its internal procedures to identify what lessons should be learned."

Both men were told they faced substantial jail terms and sentencing was adjourned.
