Anyways, I've always noticed ppl asking about the cost of living at Saudi Arabia.

Well, answers were always confusing, some say it's moderate, others say it's used to be low but it's now getting higher.

Actually, everyone is answering relatively according to his/her desired standard of living. So, I guess the definite way of giving clear and accurate answer is through the following sources.

1. Panda & Hyper Panda Price list updated monthly

Panda

It contains nearly all the most frequent used goods such as oil, salt, sugar, tea, rice, tissues, food with all types....etc (all prices in SR up to date)

It also contains promotional prices for TVs, Washers, Fridge, Microwave...etc (even playstation for kids)

I find this link the most useful one because simply it give u info as if you are shopping right now at Saudi Arabia. (so you can calculate ur expenses easily)

2. Jarir Book-Store

Jarir Book store\

Jarir bookstore is one of the largest store for selling electronics.

This link is very useful for knowing prices : all mobile telephones, all laptops, LCDs, digital cameras, DSL prices, books, dvds...etc

You will find a link updated monthly (download the pdf for the section "3orodona al khasa")

3. Al Waseet

This is a very interesting source, the Waseet newspaper is published online in pdf format. Choose ur region in saudi arabia and view ur copy.

it's updated every friday.

Contains everything!!! very useful for used cars, rents, appartments (sho2a2 3ozab, 3awa2el + phone number...etc) as if you are living in KSA.

I hope by visiting the above 3 links you will have a very accurate vision of how exactly you expenses will be in Saudi Arabia according to your standard of living.

Now you can plan ahead for your savings/travel decision/bringing family/job offer...etc.

And, there's no excuse now for anyone posting a question "As3ar al ma3eesha fe al so3odeya" ma7adesh leeh 7ega delwa2ty, As3ar kol 7aga men el supermarket wel ma7alat henak UP TO DATE !!.
